Ukraine Human Rights reports:

A Czech Member of the European Parliament, Jaromír Štětina, has invited the military commander of the white supremacist neo-nazi Azov Battalion, dubbed “White Leader”, Andriy Biletsky to come speak before the European Parliament to explain the motives, positions and plans of Azov to the MEPs with the aim of creating a dialogue.

Volunteer battalions are a significant, real political and military force in eastern Ukraine. Not to talk to them and not to know who they are means not to be interested in the solution to the conflict,” Štětina told the Czech news Agency, as Prague Post reports. He further stated that reports of mainly young neo-nazis being part of Azov were the results of Russian propaganda.

Does the EU need further explanation? Is a look at the battalion’s photos, military gear (with painted swastikas and SS runes on them), emblem (showing the “Wolfsangel” and…

An anonymous source in one of Ukraine’s security agencies said that the Malaysian Boeing was shot down as a result of an unauthorized Ukrainian Buk-M1 launch.

RIA Novosti reports citing a source in a Ukrainian security agency that the MH17 catastrophe may have been the result of an unanticipated situation during the training of one of Ukraine’s air defense units.

The anonymous source states the following: “On July 17 2014, the commander of the 156th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment was instructed to conduct missile crew training on providing coverage for Ukrainian ground forces in the suburbs of Donetsk, which entailed deploying the battalions, training target acquisition and tracking procedures, and carry out a simulated destruction of an aerial target using Buk-M1 missiles.” He said that battery commanders were issued launch keys, however, there were no plans to launch an actual 9M38M1 missile.

Beyond propaganda: the Russia-U.S. Conventional Military Balance

OffGuardian

by The Saker at the Unz Review

“The US military was never designed to fight a major war against a sophisticated enemy….As for the Russian military, it was designed to be purely defensive and it has no capability to threaten anybody in Europe, much less so the United States…”

In a recent column for the Unz Review I wrote that “under any conceivable scenario Russia does have the means to basically completely destroy the USA as a country in about 30min (the USA, of course, can do the same to Russia). Any US war planner would have to consider the escalatory potential of any military action against Russia.”

This still begs the question of whether Russia could challenge the USA militarily if we assume, for demonstration’s sake, that neither side would be prepared to use nuclear weapons, including tactical ones. If, by some mysterious magic, all nuclear weapons were to…

TASS reports:

MOSCOW, July 24. /TASS/. Ukraine concentrates its armed forces and equips firing points on the border with Transdniestria, from 5 to 7 thousand troops are currently deployed there, head of the unrecognized Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic Yevgeny Shevchuk told the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Friday.

“After the events in Ukraine, we feel the pressure of some negative factors. One of them is the concentration of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, reinforcement and expansion in the number of Ukrainian frontier guards along the border, additional equipment of engineering constructions, the digging of trenches… Some firing points are equipped along the border, and substantial amounts of troops are being concentrated – according to our estimates, from 5 to 7 thousand are deployed in close proximity to…

Alexander Dugin: “The Great War of the Continents”

The Fourth Revolutionary War

http://ptel.cz/2014/04/aleksandr-dugin-nachalas-velikaya-vojna-kontinentov/

Following the official transfer of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under the wing of Russia lull, as expected, was not followed. The territory of Ukraine is only harder creaked at the seams, threatening to break into two or three parts. About who is to blame and what to do, “Prague Telegraph” said Alexander Gelevich Dugin, leader of the “Eurasian Movement.”

Alexander Gelevich where, in your view, are growing “legs” Ukrainian problem?

We will never be able to understand what is really happening in Ukraine, until the turn to the facts of history and the geopolitical picture of the world. My analysis of the events in Ukraine, forecasts and recommendations based on it, are not built of my personal preferences, likes or dislikes, but on the basis of the geopolitical picture of the world, and relevant content in it occurring processes.

There Atlanticism. It is the United States, NATO…

IRRUSSIANALITY

One thing which struck me during the ‘tele-bridge’ which I described in my last post was the refusal of all concerned to take responsibility for their own actions – everything which went wrong was always the fault of the other party. Another example of this attitude appeared in Monday’s Kyiv Post – an article blaming separatist forces for the shelling of downtown Donetsk on 18 July. According to the Kyiv Post:

At a briefing on July 19, Major General Andriy Taran, the head of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC), said separatist forces had driven out of the city to fire upon the center of it before returning and firing on Ukrainian positions as if in retaliation. The shelling was done specifically to be able to accuse Ukrainian forces of breaking the ceasefire and firing on civilians, Taran said.

Similar claims have…

Ukraine Should Beware the Azov Extremists by Josh Cohen

StalinLivesTV

Although Ukraine’s revolution was overwhelmingly driven by liberal Ukrainians seeking to join Europe, the Maidan movement has included some troubling elements: a small but vocal collection of extreme Ukrainian nationalists. The United States has largely overlooked this to date — but that recently changed.

The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed an amendment to the U.S. military budget prohibiting training and support for the extremist paramilitary Azov battalion. Congressman John Conyers did not mince words, stating, “I am grateful that the House of Representatives unanimously passed my amendments last night to ensure that our military does not train members of the repulsive neo-Nazi Azov Battalion.”

Many Ukrainians cried foul at the House’s action. The Azov issued a statement expressing “outrage” at the decision, while Anton Gerashchenko, an aide to Ukraine’s Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov, helpfully suggested that U.S. intelligence might want to look into Conyers’ associations.

But Ukrainians should not be surprised at Congress’ action. The Azov is the military wing of the Social-National Assembly of Ukraine (SNA), a party founded by avowed white supremacist Andriy Biletsky. Biletsky’s views are troubling to say…

Judgement!: the hoax of the Bosnian Serb Run Death Camps

OffGuardian

from the Emperor’s New Clothes

“….In August 1992, millions of people were shocked to see photographs of a supposed Bosnian Serb death camps. The death camps were in fact refugee centers.

The photos were produced by ITN, the British TV news giant, from footage shot by an ITN film crew which spent a long day in Bosnia. The film was shot in a refugee center in the town of Trnopolje. (Pronounced Tern-op-ol-yay)

Most of the photographs featured a tall, emaciated man with a deformed chest, stripped to the waist, apparently imprisoned behind barbed wire. Do you remember those pictures?

They were a hoax.

To start with, the barbed wire was staged. As you will see, the ITN film crew went inside a storage area surrounded by a chicken wire and barbed wire fence. They filmed through the fence, thus creating the false impression that the people they were filming were…

NATO’s Australian Balistics Expert Dr Stephan Fruehling Proved to Be a Fake

StalinLivesTV

Out of the so called experts that have been repetitively used in western media to prove that ‘Russian Separatists’ shot down MH17 one of them has jumped out at me the so called ‘Australian Ballistics Expert’ Dr Stephan Fruehling from the SDSC at the Australian National University.

I remember Dr Fruehling from my time studying at the SDSC@ANU as a pimply faced, heavily accented nerd that had no idea about academic investigation who handed back assignments to students because they didn’t fit in the political agenda that eh was teaching. I wondered how he had suddenly become a world expert on ballistic missiles since my time studying there. The truth is he hadn’t but his statements were being used as ‘proof’ in western media that ‘Russian Separatists’ had ruthlessly shot down a civilian airliner killing 298 innocent civilians.

Here is some background information on Dr Stephan Fruehling to prove his…
