Sputnik International reports:

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk may soon lose his office, after his reputation was severely damaged by corruption reports, dragging on parliamentary reforms and working in the interests of oligarchs, Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten (DWN) reported.

According to the German media source, Yatsenyuk will be replaced by either Mikheil Saakashvili, the Governor of Odessa and the ex-President of Georgia, or Chicago-native Natalie Jaresko, who is the current Finance Minister of Ukraine.

“The days of Yatsenyuk are gone,” the German media said.

Saakashvili himself has been actively criticizing the prime minister, accusing him of corruption and supporting the interests of Ukrainian oligarchs, including Ihor Kolomoyskyi, arguably the country’s richest oligarch, whom Yatsenyuk helped to privatize the entire Ukrainian aviation industry, DWN said.

Jaresko worked at the US State Department before becoming Ukraine’s Finance Minister.

“The appointment of Yatsenyuk’s successor will show who will prevail in Ukraine: the neo-conservatives or the moderate Obama administration,” DWN concluded.

  1. Whilst I can sincerely say “good riddance to bad rubbish” of Yatsenyuk the thought of Saakashvili taking any office of power is like inviting Hitler to a children’s tea party. Saakashvili so far, despite being wanted for War Crimes in Ossetia, has, with the protection of the US and their cohorts the EU, evaded prosecution. It seems these days a murderous war criminal is to be rewarded while in other parts of the world, rightful rulers in a sought after country need not be war criminals to be targets of US and UK aggression. Don’t know too much about Natalie Jaresco, but being a Chicago native does not bode well. The Chicago lot seem to hold hereditary life peerages rather than any kind of elective process. As with Nuland/Pyatt and Saakashvili, we can expect more calls for assault on the Donbas citizens under US orders to goad Russia and likely renege on the monies owed to Russia in favour of paying the massive and much more costly loans to the US purveyors of money for assets, the IMF. The US are anything but bringers of peace, quite the reverse is true and their only interest in Ukraine has always been to present a concerted aggressive front directed against Russia with the aim of garnering support from the poodles of the EU. They have successfully achieved most of their goals, all that remains is that small shove still needed to galvanise the war footing the US has always sought. The US loses nothing, gains much, all at no cost to them but the cost will be borne with many Ukrainian/Russian lives. I wish I could be more hopeful for the Ukraine and the Donbas but with the involvement of the US, having witnessed their manipulation and aggression in destabilizing nations all over the world, I won’t hold my breath.
